Companies of Lithuanian Plastics Cluster provide their clients with products of exclusive quality, offer competitive prices and serve them promptly. Products can be made of customer’s or companies’ materials in small, medium and big quantities. Most of the companies offer various injection moulding techniques, operate multiple injection moulding machines and are flexible to produce different size and purpose plastic parts and products from a fraction of gram up to large masses. Cluster members produce for a variety of industries: from simple house hold equipment to complex technical parts which have strict tolerances and highest quality requirements. Cluster members – educational institutions – contribute to the joint activities in the fields of research and development.

PET INJECTION MOULDING

Cluster members are flexible to provide various PET injection moulding solutions – from standard PET preforms to special design preforms and bottles.

Depending on a customer’s need, injection moulding machines are able to produce required preforms from any ethylene and paraxylene-based raw materials and PET resins. PET preforms can be produced using recycled resins as well.

Modern stretch blow moulding and one-step injection-stretch blow moulding systems allow to make PET bottles of various volume ranges. Companies are able to produce special plastic bottles, according to individual needs.

Products: PET preforms, PET bottles, etc.

PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDING

Plastic injection moulding is one of the most common processing techniques in the plastics industry. Product is manufactured by injecting moulten plastic into a mould and cooling it down. The plastic injection moulding industry has evolved over the years from producing combs and buttons to producing a vast array of products for many industries including automotive, medical, aerospace, consumer products, toys, plumbing, packaging, and construction.

Products: Plastic parts for different industries (automotive, electronics, etc.); Technical plastic parts; Household and furniture parts; etc.

Materials: PA6.6/PA6 + GF/GB; PC; PMMA; POM; ABS; HIPS; TPE/TPU; PP; and others suitable for injection moulding technology.

THERMOSET INJECTION MOULDING

Thermoset moulding is an irreversible moulding process by which malleable forms of plastic are forced into a heated mould and formed into their final shape.

Thermoplastic moulding is the reverse process where heated material is injected into a cool mould. The material is then cooled to maintain the final shape of the part.

MOULD FLOW ANALYSIS

Mould flow analysis is the process of simulating an injection moulding cycle with a particular plastic and analyzing the results.

Mould flow analysis should occur before the injection moulding process ever begins, through the use of specialized software that simulates the design of the part to be manufactured.

EXTRUSION

Hot forming method, in which moolten polymer is continuously passed through a die having a predetermined shape in a flow state by heating and plasticizing and screw extruding, and then cooling forming.

BLOWING

Blow moulding is a manufacturing process for forming and joining together hollow plastic parts. In general, there are three main types of blow moulding:

  • extrusion blow moulding,
  • injection blow moulding,
  • and injection stretch blow moulding.

DESIGN

Plastic modelling and design services, aiming to meet high standards in manufacturing and custom made plastic parts / products.

TOOLING / INJECTION MOULDING TOOLS

An injection mould is one of the custom-machined tools used in plastic injection moulding to mould moulten plastic into plastic products. Precissious injection moulding tool is one of the most important criteria for high quality plastic parts production.

Stamping tool, forming equipment, moulding for plastic bottles, canisters, etc. Tooling for electrical appliances, consumer plastics, etc.

PROTOTYPING

Design teams implement ideas into tangible forms from paper to digital, build prototypes of varying degrees of fidelity to capture design concepts and test on users.

3D PRINTING

More and more customers are discovering the benefits of 3D technologies. The full 3D service includes 3D modelling, 3D Scanning and 3D Printing.

The 3D Modelling is service is provided using globally recognized CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and Digital Sculpting software. Highly qualified designers create 3D model based on the 2D drawings, photos, sketches or just an idea; then perform the design creation and implementation of solutions.

3D scanning can be implemented for small (from 10 mm) and larger objects such as cars or machine parts, sculptures, or even human body. 3D scanners reproduce not only the finest details of the parts but also the colours. It is useful in the manufacturing industry, restoration, medicine, art related fields, etc.

High-quality and wide range of 3D printing services allows the option of printing products in FDM (fused deposition modeling), SLA (stereolithography), SLS (selective laser sintering), BJ (binder jetting), MJF (multijet fusion), DMSL (direct metal laser sintering) 3D printing technologies.

THERMOFORMING

Heating plastic sheets to a pliable forming temperature, forming to a specific shape in a mould, and trimming to create a usable product.

SUBCONTRACTING

Lithuanian plastics cluster unites plastic companies with successful experience in global market and can assure professional competence, quality, and accuracy of services, equipment, technological solutions and expert approach. When providing subcontracting services, companies are concerned with energy saving, lower resource consumption, lower production cost issues and good quality to develop strong and mutually beneficial partnerships.

RESEARCH

Cluster members – educational institutions – contribute to the joint activities in the fields of research and development.
